Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 Shad well, Virginia. He was the third president of the United States and most important the main author of The Declaration of Independence. In 1785 Jefferson was sent to France , by seeing all the low class in there the idea of all men being the same clear Jeffersons mind.During his lifetime Jefferson was the first United States Secretary of State on 1790 below George Washington.

An interesting fact about him is that he owned a lot of slaves where he recognized all of the freedom all men deserve. This idea you can find it on the Declaration ofIndependence.Thomas Jefferson took the presidency on 1801 taking Aaron Burr as his Vice President. When they took lead the Federalist didn't want them to lead but Hamilton told them that he was the best of all the candidate in a way. Jefferson wanted to all Americans know that all men are equal.

During his years as President he achieve to purchase the Louisiana Territory from France. This expensive land gave United States 883,000 square miles to the territory. In July 4 1826 Thomas Jefferson died by natural reasons. A combination of illness gave this 83 year old man his last day. All around the world you can find memorials and statues about him. We will always remember the man who gave one of the most important event that happen to Americans.
