John Adams

John Adams was a statesman, diplomat, and a leading promoter of America's independence through the American revolution. He was born on october 30th, 1735 and died on july 4th, 1826. He was the first vice-president and the second president of the US. He was one of the brightest minds in those times. It is somehow ironical that John Adams at first defended the soldiers from the Boston Massacre in trial and then he was one of the promoters of the great American Revolution. Well as you can see, John Adams is one of the greatest intellectuals of the time.

John Adams did many important actions and participated in the most important events on American history. John was sent to France to help create the Treaty of Paris with Benjamin Franklin and John Jay to finally end the American Revolution. As I previously stated, John Adams was the first vice-president of the United States after the American Revolution ended. He was later elected the second president of the United States and Thomas Jefferson, first being his opponent, was his vice-president. It is quite interesting that all throughout US history it was the only time were two political opponents were on the top two positions. It is really impressive the important different roles he played throughout history.

We really like when a character throughout history is completely fair and neutral. When the soldiers of the Boston Massacre went to trial, John Adams defended them in order for them to have a fair trial. Obviously, the colonists were going to manipulate the trial in order to benefit themselves by making England look bad with their soldiers. They wanted to create this image for England so the rest of the colonies joined the fight against England. Also, he did the famous nomination of George Washington in order to unify the South and the North. George Washington was the best for this mission because both parts would support him for his neutral leadership and perspective. John Adams was a really honorable person who marked the US history.
