George Washington

George Washington was born in Virginia, February 22 on 1732. As you may know he was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was the first president of the United States, the Constitution made a position of president and George Washington was the first to obtain it. Washington was a military officer at first, he became a senior officer in the first stages of The French and Indian War. He also was chosen to be Commander in chief of the Continental Army in the American Revolution. He did not had so much luck at first by being defeated trying to force the British to get out of Boston, Massachusetts.

But after the incident of being defeated he crossed the Delaware river and he won two battles. By his hood strategies defeating the British they captured two of the important armies of the British. Washington was proved to be a great leader and a good and patriotic man. Example of it was that he prevent war with Great Britain and proclaiming peace for almost ten years.

Unfortunately at the age of 67 a great man died, an interesting fact about George Washington's death is that he died for natural causes. He passed away at his home on December 14 1799, he had an infection on his throat and lower chances of respiratory. Until today his image is use as a national and political symbol in USA. After George Washington's death many people recognized him as a great man he was , and almost all around the world many monuments appear. He will always be remembered as " The Father of his country".
